has anyone tried pizza my heart in capitola
(by the beach) lately?
used to be one of my favorites -- but i noticed
they've merged and expanded all around the
bay area -- i wonder if they're still as good.

Sat, July 17, 2004 - 2:24 PMMy SO tried the one in Palo Alto while I was eating the real deal on my recent NYC visit.
He says it was a 6 on a scale of 1-10. The sauce was too sweet and there was too much on the pie. But the toppings were good, tho everything was sliding off the pizza cuz of the profusion of sauce.
Neither of us like sweet sauce.

Sat, July 17, 2004 - 3:04 PMMy favorite pizza to order there is the "prima." It has sudried tomatoes, feta, and olives. The best thing about it, though, is that they only squeeze a little sauce around the edge near the crust. It's fabulous. I, too, dislike the overly sweet sauce.

Tue, November 9, 2004 - 11:43 AMThis chain makes decent slices but it can be a crapshoot. I find that the crispiness of the crust varies from soggy to cruchy on almost every slice. When the crust is 'just right', they are my favorite late-night slice (unless I just want pepperoni: mmm Arinell pizza)

Sun, November 14, 2004 - 7:49 AMThe one in Los Gatos makes the ultra thin crisp stuff. They do not know how to make it right at all. Go figures! It's in Los Gatos. They don't seem to care about their pizza quality there. If I ate there a lot, I'd let the original owner in Capitola know, and have him either make them step it up to par, or fire the baker.
