I have never tasted a west coast pizza. I have no idea what they taste like.As long as the sauce is not sweet,it will be good.

Re: SF Pizza
Wed, September 15, 2004 - 11:49 PMThere's no such thing as west coast pizza, unless you consider (con)fusion pizzas like Thai chicken pizza and other stuff you find at California Pizza Kitchen -

Re: SF Pizza
Mon, September 20, 2004 - 2:38 PMActually, according to food critics, West Coast pizza is that, exactly. BBQ chicken pizza, Thai peanut, avacado, shrimp/seafood pizza, is all considered WC pizza. It's more about the toppings, whereas Chicago and NY styles are more about the crusts. Enjoy. -

Re: SF Pizza
Mon, September 20, 2004 - 5:07 PMEven in the crust department, there are California innovations* like sourdough & whole wheat. (And while shrimp may be more common here, clams have been going onto pies in Rhode Island [& elsewhere?] for eons, from what I understand.)
*of course, not counting the California model of franchising like a friggin' virus.... -

Re: SF Pizza
Tue, September 21, 2004 - 6:10 AMNow the crust sounds good. Whole-wheat and sourdough sounds like it would really rock as long as it has the right topping.
I like clams fried and shrimp steamed with cocktail sauce--lm
